The Mother company of INTRACO GROUP was established during British time in Kolkata, After INDIA- PAKISTAN independence, establishment moved to CHITTAGONG the then East Pakistan and in 1969 “HOTEL AGRABAD” the first 3 Star hotel in Bangladesh was established and after that more new companies was formed named Jahanara Real Estate, Jahanara Shipping Lines, Ali Cold Storage, Dhaka Yarn & Dying etc.
By the phase of time our business network was expanded by the dynamic leadership of our management & INTRACO TOOK BIRTH in 1979, original business was focused on bulk trading, import and export. During Pakistan time the group received many export trophies due to its out standing performance.

A continuous hardship journey since 1997 onward, by the phase of momentum & with sense of reality this Group becomes one of the fast growing group of companies in Bangladesh working since last couple of years contributing her all out efforts for the economical development of the country. It is indeed to explain, in last year our growth rate is around 150% as we have 18 conglomerates so far working under this group umbrella. For it’s out standing efforts this GROUP has achieved the prestigious ISO 9000:2001 certificate as a part of her success of story. It is very much tremendous to recall that all over Bangladesh territory this group has set up lot of CNG conversion & refueling stations. As a matter of fact, this group is the pathfinder in CNG sector and became the member of “Bangladesh CNG Filling Station & Conversion Workshop Owners Association".
